FAQ

How Long Should a Bar or Bat Mitzvah Photo Montage Be?

The good news is that your montage can be as long or as short as you want it to be and as it needs to be to properly tell your story. Typically, most montages average around 8-12 minutes with some as short as 5 or 6 minutes and some as long as 15 or 20 minutes.

If you already know how many photos you have, it’s very easy to figure out how long your your photo montage will run. Memorable Montages uses the rule of thumb that, on average, each photo will be on screen for approximately 3 seconds.

Of course, photos of big groups will be on screen longer. Photos of just a person or two will be on screen for less time. And, for vertical photos, we often put them onscreen as a 2-up. But, 3 seconds is a reasonable average.

You can use the calculator to the left to determine the length of your montage given the number of photos you’ve already collected for your Bar or Bat Mitzvah, Birthday, Anniversary or Wedding Montage.

Our pricing doesn’t vary based on the number of photos or the length of the montage. Memorable Montages is much more concerned about making a montage that tells your story in an impactful and emotional way.
